Laser Pigment & Tattoo Removal

Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure meaning it doesn't last forever, but can last several years.  

For clients with dryer skin-type, pigment can retain longer.  Oils in the skin, sweating from the brow, regenerative creams, sun exposure and other factors can break pigment down more quickly, but ultimately everyone's skin holds on to pigment differently.  Some clients need a touch up yearly, and some need one every 3-4 years.

Simultaneously, our pigments and tools are advancing.  Our blades are now thinner than ever before.  Our pigments are now much more stable.  Our skills and techniques have improved tremendously.  The brows we create today are much more realistic in appearance than the brows we did years ago.  Similarly, the brows we will do in the years to come will advance in the same manner.

For this reason, Laser Tattoo Removal has become a major player in this process.  Instead of waiting years until the brows fade, we simply remove the unwanted pigment with the laser, and start fresh.  The process is not only effective, but it requires no downtime.  The brows look better immediately, but can require as few as 1 up to several treatments for complete removal.

Some clients prefer the lightened brow look after just 1 or 2 sessions.  Others prefer to remove their old pigment completely to have their brows redone.  We'd be happy to assist you in choosing which is best for you.

Our multifunctional device uses a Q-switch laser to perform three types of treatments: Tattoo removal, Pigmentation treatment (freckles, melasma, age spots) and Carbon peeling. The treatment is intended for all the clients who wish to remove unwanted or faded tattoos and other imperfections on the surface of the skin.

Our laser breaks up tattoo pigment within the skin. The procedure depends on the immune and lymphatic system, which absorb pigment molecules and eliminate them from the body.  In order to start the process, lasers aim for the pigment.  Naturally, this type of laser must be extremely precise, therefore ultrashort pulse lasers are used.  In order to reduce color intensity and skin damage, light pulses must be short and extremely fast – these lasers operate in nanoseconds. 

Pigment absorbs the energy at such speed leaving no time for chemical interaction.  Actually, an acoustic impulse is formed within and breaks up the pigment.  The speed of the heating process is crucial to the success of the treatment.  The faster the laser heats particles, the greater the possibility of breaking up the pigment.  

The number of removal sessions depends on the type of pigment being removed, the location of the body, and the length of time that the pigment has been within the skin.

Our pigments, Phi Pigments, are the easiest Permanent Makeup pigments to remove from the Eyebrow.  On average, some clients take 1 session, most clients take 2-4, and in rare cases, others take 5-7.  Because each client and pigment retention is different, we can not guarantee a set amount of removal sessions.  

We do not remove Lip Permanent Makeup, unless the client acknowledges and agrees to the risk of this pigment containing Titanium Dioxide, which turns brown/black when treated with Laser.

We do not remove Eyeliner as it is too close to the eye.

Body Tattoos are more difficult to remove, and can take anywhere from 10-20 sessions to fully remove.

Nevertheless, Treatments can be done 6 Weeks apart.  New pigment can be added to the skin 9 Weeks after your last laser treatment!

The laser carbon peel is a fast and painless procedure done to help improve the look of skin.

It’s used primarily by people with oily skin, acne, and enlarged or clogged pores. This treatment is also beneficial if you’re starting to see the effects of sun damage to your skin.

Laser carbon peels deeply exfoliate skin. They also help stimulate collagen production. 

Laser carbon peels are used on clients with:

• acne
• acne pigmentation
• acne scarring
• enlarged and clogged pores
• melasma
• photoaging
• fine lines and wrinkles

Chemical Peels also treat these skin conditions, but here are some of the main differences between the two:

• laser carbon peels use heat instead of chemicals for results
• laser carbon peels require no down time
• people with sensitive skin or skin conditions like eczema will usually experience less redness and irritation after a carbon peel than from a chemical peel

Sun exposure is strictly forbidden in the 4 weeks prior to treatment. If laser treatment is performed on tanned or sunburnt skin, the laser may cause serious burns or discoloration. After laser treatment, it is necessary to protect the skin from the sun until it has fully healed. If the treated skin is exposed to the sun it may scar.   

To ensure successful recovery and optimal results of the treatment, physicians recommend the following:   

• Stop smoking at least 2 weeks prior to treatment.  
• Stop taking vitamin E, Aspirin and other medication that may postpone healing.  
• Stop using skin care products with retinoids or glycolic acid for 2-4 weeks.  
• Take medication for herpes prevention if the client is prone to outbreaks.  
• Avoid sun and tanning salons for 3-4 weeks before treatment.  
• Stop using self-tanning products as some of these contain activators which can react to the laser treatment and cause skin pigmentation.

For up to 48h after the treatment avoid the following:   

• Wearing tight clothes over the treated area.  
• Contact sports and other activities during which the treated area may be injured. 
• Applying creams, makeup, perfumes and body lotions to the treated area.  
• Hot baths and wetting the treated area.  
• Any form of heat therapy such as sauna, steam rooms and hot baths.  
• Swimming in swimming pools as chemicals in the water obstruct the healing process.  
• Shaving the treated area.  
• Rubbing or scratching the treated area.  
• Sunbathing and tanning salons, because these activities trigger melanin production in the skin, which may cause pigmentation. 

Gently wash the treated area using soap and water, avoiding wetting the area excessively.  If the area is sensitive or warm, it is recommended to apply ice packs or ice wrapped in a clean cloth.  Do not apply ice directly to the skin.  Nourish the treated area with Skin Candy After PhiLaser Treatment Gel in the morning and evening.  Do not apply creams/lotions except the ones prescribed by your laser technician.
