Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique that uses a handheld tool with tiny needles to create hair-like strokes and fill in sparse eyebrows, resulting in a natural and fuller appearance. On the other hand, powder brows involve depositing pigment into the skin using a shading technique, resulting in a soft, powdered makeup look that mimics the effect of filled-in eyebrows with makeup.
Permanent Eyeliner is a popular permanent makeup procedure that involves tattooing pigment along the lash line to create the appearance of perfectly defined eyes. It offers long-lasting results, eliminating the need for daily application and providing a hassle-free solution for effortlessly beautiful eyes.
Lip blush is a semi-permanent makeup technique that enhances the natural color and shape of the lips by depositing pigment into the lip tissue. It creates a soft, subtle tint that adds definition and fullness to the lips, resulting in a youthful and natural-looking appearance.

Permanent Makeup, including Microblading, Powder, Nano Brows, Lip Blush, & Lash Line Enhancement, is performed using sterilized, disposable tools to insert pigment into the epidermis. The inserted pigment is much darker during the first 5-7 days, after which, the intensity of the color decreases by as much as 40%.
The healing process may last up to 28 days, after which, a new amount of pigment is added to the faded sections of the treatment area during the 6-8 Week Touch Up. In case the skin is too oily or problematic, the process may need additional touch up sessions.
Although pigment can be retained for up to 5 years, touch ups are recommended to refresh the color- typically 1-3 years after the treatment.
Any treatment, medication, or illness that compromises the immune system, and therefore the healing process, would make you NOT eligible for permanent makeup.

Microblading, Powder Brows, Eyeliner & Lip Blush are semi-permanent procedures meaning they don't last forever, but can last several years.
For clients with dryer skin-type, pigment can retain longer. Oils in the skin, sweating from the brow, regenerative creams, sun exposure and other factors can break pigment down more quickly, but ultimately everyone's skin holds on to pigment differently. Some clients need a touch up yearly, and some need one every 3-4 years.
Simultaneously, our pigments and tools are advancing. Our blades and cartridges are now thinner than ever. Our pigments are now much more stable. Our skills and techniques have improved tremendously. The art we create today is much more realistic in appearance than the art we did years ago. Similarly, the art we will do in the years to come will advance in the same manner. For this reason, Laser Tattoo Removal has become a major player in this process.
Instead of waiting until the brows fade, we simply remove the unwanted pigment with the laser, and start fresh. The process is not only effective, but it requires no downtime. PMU looks better immediately, but can require anywhere from 1-7 treatments for complete removal.

When deciding between microblading and powder brows, it's essential to consider your desired outcome and personal preferences. Microblading is ideal for those seeking a more defined and natural-looking brow, with individual hair-like strokes mimicking the appearance of real hair. On the other hand, powder brows offer a soft and powdered makeup look, perfect for those who prefer a more filled-in and defined brow without the appearance of individual strokes. Additionally, factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and maintenance preferences should also be taken into account when making your decision. Consulting with a skilled technician, like those at Beneath the Surface Skin Studio, can help you determine the best option to achieve your desired look.
Lip Blush is a subtle to moderate color enhancement for uneven or pale to medium toned lips. Color is completely customizable and will heal about 40-50% softer than post-treatment results show. For a more saturated look, one to two 6-8 Week Touch ups are recommended, but not included.
This procedure is the implantation of pigment between and slightly above the natural lashes. It is performed with the intention of giving a fuller lash appearance and more defined eye shape. Prior to performing the treatment, your artist will map out this line for your approval. Add the bottom lash line for an additional $150.
