PERMANENT MAKEUP (PMU)

MICROBLADING

MICROBLADING

MICROBLADING

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique that uses a handheld tool with tiny needles to create hair-like strokes and fill in sparse eyebrows, resulting in a natural and fuller appearance. On the other hand, powder brows involve depositing pigment into the skin using a shading technique, resulting in a soft, powdered makeup look that mimics the effect of filled-in eyebrows with makeup.

EYELINER

MICROBLADING

MICROBLADING

Permanent Eyeliner is a popular permanent makeup procedure that involves tattooing pigment along the lash line to create the appearance of perfectly defined eyes. It offers long-lasting results, eliminating the need for daily application and providing a hassle-free solution for effortlessly beautiful eyes.

LIP BLUSH

MICROBLADING

LIP BLUSH

Lip blush is a semi-permanent makeup technique that enhances the natural color and shape of the lips by depositing pigment into the lip tissue. It creates a soft, subtle tint that adds definition and fullness to the lips, resulting in a youthful and natural-looking appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Info@beneaththesurfaceskinstudios.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Permanent Makeup, including Microblading, Powder Brows, Nano Hairstrokes, Eyeliner and Lip blush, uses sterile tools to insert pigment into the epidermis. The color appears slightly darker for 5-7 days, then fades by up to 30%. Healing takes up to 28 days, followed by a 6-8 week follow-up. Oily or problematic skin may need extra sessions. Pigment lasts up to 6 years, but touch-ups are advised every 2-4 years to refresh the color.

SOMETIMES, but Approval is REQUIRED before booking.

Microblading, Powder Brows, Eyeliner, and Lip Blush are semi-permanent procedures that can last several years but will gradually fade over time.

Clients with drier skin often retain pigment longer, while factors like oily skin, sweating, skincare products, and sun exposure can cause faster fading. Touch-ups may be needed yearly or every 3–4 years, depending on individual skin type.

As tools, pigments, and techniques continue to advance, results are now more realistic and stable than ever. With these improvements, Laser Tattoo Removal has become an important option. Rather than waiting for pigment to fade naturally, laser removal allows us to clear old pigment and start fresh — often with little to no downtime.

Complete removal may take 1–7 sessions done 6 weeks apart, gradually lightening the pigment. Afterwards, new pigment can be added 9 weeks later.  Do not be aftaid- at no point are you completely without brows.

To determine if you need Laser Removal, please text a photo of your Brows to (412) 545-5444!
